2003 Rajyotsava Award to SKS

    In recognition to the efforts of Sydney Kannada Sangha in promoting Kannada, its great heritage, culture and keeping the Kannada dream active and the spirt alive, the Government of Karnataka has awarded the prestigious "Year 2003 Kannada Rajyotsava Award".

The Rajyotsava award ceremony took place in Bangalore on 1st Nov 2003. A large crowd witnessed the presentation of the award and there was a big applause from the public and also from the Minister of State for Kannada and Culture, Mrs. Rani Satish when Sydney Kannada Sangha was announced as a recipient.

Shri. Onkaraswamy Goppenalli, President of Sydney Kannada Sangha received the Rajyotsava award on behalf of Sydney Kannada Sangha from the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Hon. Shri S.M.Krishna.
